Prophetic Charge: “It’s Time to Pray!”

I hear the Lord charging you to pray. He’s saying: “It’s time to pray.” It’s past time. We need to be on our knees praying. He’s charging us to pray. Because we’re in a war. We’re in a battle. We’re in a spiritual battle. We see evil things happening in the earth, in our nation. Children, abortion. The enemy wants to destroy young people. Babies. Children. He wants people in bondage to all kinds of things: sickness, disease, reports of food shortages, all these things. It’s a spiritual battle because the enemy wants to destroy, and his time is short, and so he’s doing evil things to try to stop what God is going to do.

And we are in the battle. We are on the front lines. Some of us don’t have our weapons ready, some of us don’t have our shields, some of us aren’t even ready to fight. But the Lord says: “I have given you everything that you need.” And He’s calling you to stand up, to take a stand, to join the fight, to enter the battle, to pray for His kingdom to come and for His will to be done, to destroy the works of darkness, to destroy the plans of the enemy, to proclaim the goodness of our God, to declare that this is the day of salvation, that this is the year of the Lord, that this is the time and this is the season for God’s will and for His Spirit to go forth in power. But there are many out there, many out there in the valley of decision who are held in bondage by the enemy. And He’s called us to go forth in His name and to set the captives free.

That is the charge that I am hearing form the Lord to all of us: to get up, to get up and take a stand in the Spirit, to pray without ceasing, to pray in the Spirit at all times. This isn’t the time to be arguing whether we should be speaking in tongues or not, or whether the gifts are for today or are for yesterday. This is the day for us to go forth in His name, and we can’t do it without the gifts of the Spirit, we can’t do it without the Holy Spirit, the power that He gives us, the dunamis power of His Spirit. He’s called us to go forth. He could do it all by Himself, but He’s called us to work with Him. He’s called us, He’s called you, all of us, to go forth and to be His representatives, to do His work in the earth, to be Jesus to other people, to show them what Jesus is like.

So I charge you today to rise up in the strength of the Lord your God, even as Gideon was hiding in the threshing floor. He was hiding, and the Angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, “Rise up, you mighty man of valor.” And Gideon was like, “Who, me? Me? I’m not mighty.” But he was. And he rose up, and went forth with 300 men, and accomplished God’s will. It doesn’t take a million of us. Maybe it only takes 10,000 of us. But He’s called you, and it’s up to you to decide whether you’re going to answer the call or not.

And I charge you to be one who answers the call.
